Green Money Ink

Thomas Sterry Hunt, a professor at McGill University in Montréal and analytical chemist of the Canadian Geological Survey, developed an ink made of chromium trioxide. This green ink cannot be destroyed by acids, bases, or any other agent, nor can it be photocopied. He sold his invention to the United States government, which uses the ink in their paper currency, making it difficult to counterfeit.
